Wale Babalakin
Bolanle Olawale Babalakin , (born 1 July 1960) is a Nigerian businessman, lawyer and philanthropist, and the Chairman of The Bi-Courtney Group of companies. He is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), and received the Nigerian national honour of Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) in 2007. Early life and education Babalakin was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, in 1960. His father, Bolarinwa Oyegoke Babalakin, is a retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and his mother, Ramotu Ibironke Babalakin, was a hospital proprietress in Ibadan. He attended Sacred Heart Private School, then proceeded to Government College, Ibadan (GCI) for his secondary school education. For his A-Levels, Babalakin attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan, and subsequently gained admission into the University of Lagos in 1978, where he graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1981. Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is a title that may be conferred on legal practitioners in Nigeria of not less than ten years' standing and who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession. It is the equivalent of the rank of Queen's Counsel in the United Kingdom, from which Nigeria became History of Nigeria#Independence, independent in 1960 (History of Nigeria#First Republic, Republic 1963), as well as in South Australia, the Northern Territory, and Canada (except Ontario and Quebec). Babatunde Raji Fashola ( yo, Bàbátúndé Rájí Fáṣọlá; born 28 June 1963) is a Nigerian lawyer and politician currently serving as the Federal Minister of Works and Housing of Nigeria. He served two terms as Governor of Lagos State from 29 May 2007 to 29 May 2015. Moshood Abiola Polytechnic also known as MAPOLY is a tertiary learning institution in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. The Ojere campus is in the South-Eastern part of Abeokuta, covering about 960 hectares of rolling land bounded by the Ogun River to the south. It is named after Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, who was elected President of Nigeria in 1993, but prevented from taking office. Umaru Musa Yar'Adua (16 August 19515 May 2010) was a Nigerian politician who, was the President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. He was declared the winner of the Nigerian presidential election held on 21 April 2007, and was sworn in on 29 May 2007. He served previously as the governor of Katsina state from 1999 to 2007; and was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Rilwanu Lukman (26 August 1938 – 21 July 2014) was a Nigerian engineer who held several ministerial positions in the Nigerian Federal government before becoming Secretary General of OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2000.
