Alton Ronald Waldon Jr. (born December 21, 1936) is an American politician and jurist from New York who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1986 to 1987 in addition to stints in the New York State Assembly from 1983 to 1986 and New York State Senate from 1991 to 2000, as a member of the Democratic Party. Early life and education Born in Lakeland, Florida, Waldon graduated from Boys High School in Brooklyn, New York in 1954 and went on to earn a B.S. from John Jay College in New York City in 1968 and a J.D. from New York Law School in New York City in 1973. Career Military service and city career Waldon served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1959. He was appointed as NYS Deputy Commissioner of Human Rights in 1975. Billy Ray Waldon (born January 3, 1952), also known as Billy Joe Waldon or Nvwtohiyada Idehesdi Sequoyah (Cherokee language, Cherokee: ᏅᏙᎯᏯᏓ ᎢᏕᎮᏍᏗ ᏎᏉᏯ, Nvdohiyada Idehesdi Sequoya), is an American former fugitive, American Indian Movement activist, and Esperantist who in 1986, became the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, 1980s, 399th fugitive listed by the FBI on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List. Waldon was convicted of the murders of three people during a crime spree in 1985. A native of Oklahoma, Waldon was apprehended on June 16, 1986 after San Diego, California police attempted to pull him over for a routine traffic citation. In 1992, Waldon was convicted of three counts of murder and Capital punishment in California, sentenced to death in California. Keith Waldon is a physiotherapist and coach (sport), sports coach, who was assistant manager of Portsmouth F.C. under Terry Fenwick, and who acted as caretaker manager of the club in January 1998 after Fenwick's dismissal. Waldon is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 5,133 at the 2000 census. It is served by station on the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) , and by Interstate 680. The area has been undergoing a series of transit-oriented development projects under the auspices of the Contra Costa Centre Transit Village public/private partnership.
