Regional-Express
In Germany, Luxembourg and Austria, the Regional-Express (RE, or in Austria: REX) is a type of regional train. It is similar to a semi-fast train, with average speed at about 70–90 km/h (top speed often 160 km/h) as it calls at fewer stations than '' Regionalbahn'' or S-Bahn trains, but stops more often than ''InterCity'' services. Operations The first Regional-Express services were operated by DB Regio, though since the liberalisation of the German rail market (''Bahnreform'') in the 1990s many operators have received franchise rights on lines from the federal states. Some private operators currently operate trains that are similar to a Regional-Express service, but have decided to use their own names for the sake of brand awareness instead. Regional-Express services are carried out with a variety of vehicles such as DMUs (of Class 612), EMUs (of Class 425 or 426) or, most commonly, electric or diesel locomotives with double-deck cars, the latter often with ...

Hohenlohe Railway
The House of Hohenlohe () is a German princely dynasty. It ruled an immediate territory within the Holy Roman Empire which was divided between several branches. The Hohenlohes became imperial counts in 1450. The county was divided numerous times and split into several principalities in the 18th century. In 1806 the Princes of Hohenlohe lost their independence through mediatisation initialized by Napoleon, and their lands became parts of the kingdoms of Bavaria and of Württemberg by the Act of the Confederation of the Rhine (12 July 1806), a confederation of client states of the First French Empire. In 1806 the area of Hohenlohe was 1,760 km² and its estimated population was 108,000. Having lost their Imperial immediacy, the Princes of Hohenlohe still kept their private possessions. Until the German Revolution of 1918–19, just as other mediatized families, they also retained important political privileges. They were considered equal by birth (''Ebenbürtigkeit'') to t ...

Bundesstraße 19
''Bundesstraße'' (German for "federal highway"), abbreviated ''B'', is the denotation for German and Austrian national highways. Germany Germany's ''Bundesstraßen'' network has a total length of about 40,000 km. German ''Bundesstraßen'' are labelled with rectangular yellow signs with black numerals, as opposed to the white-on-blue markers of the ''Autobahn'' controlled-access highways. ''Bundesstraßen'', like autobahns, are maintained by the federal agency of the Transport Ministry. In the German highway system they rank below autobahns, but above the ''Landesstraßen'' and ''Kreisstraßen'' maintained by the federal states and the districts respectively. The numbering was implemented by law in 1932 and has overall been retained up to today, except for those roads located in the former eastern territories of Germany. One distinguishing characteristic between German ''Bundesstraßen'' and ''Autobahnen'' is that there usually is a general 100 km/h (62 mph) spe ...

It starts at the French border near Saarbrücken in the west and ends at the Czech border near Waidhaus in the east. The first plans for the A 6 were laid out in 1935; construction on several parts began in 1938. In 1940, construction near Mannheim was stopped when the bridge across the Rhine collapsed, killing many workers. A new bridge, the Theodor Heuss Bridge (Frankenthal), was opened in 1953. Other parts of the A 6 were completed in 1941. A part near Kaiserslautern was used as an airstrip by the Luftwaffe during World War II. After the war, it was taken over by US forces and became the Ramstein Air Base, while the A 6 was re-built south of the air base. In the 1960s, construction was continued. Sierck-les-Bains
Sierck-les-Bains (, Lorraine Franconian: ''Siirk''/''Siirck'') is a commune in the Moselle department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. Localities of the commune: Rudling, Kœnigsberg (German: Rudlingen, Königsberg) Language Revitalization Sierck-Les-Bains and other municipalities in the Moselle Department of France have attempted some limited projects to protect and revitalize the declining Lorraine-Franconian dialects which were historically spoken in the region. The dialect historically spoken in Sierck is closely related to the Saarländisch dialects and Luxembourgish due to the village’s proximity to the German and Luxembourg borders. Sierck has put up road signs with the Lorraine Franconian name “Siirk” as well as street names in Lorraine Franconian. Such attempts to revitalize the Lorraine Franconian language has also been replicated in other municipalities in the Moselle department such as Hettange-Grande.
