Wake Up My Love
"Wake Up My Love" is a song by English rock musician George Harrison from his 1982 album ''Gone Troppo''. Released as the A-side of the album's lead single, it peaked at number 53 in the United States but failed to chart in Britain. Harrison included the track on his 1989 compilation album '' Best of Dark Horse''. As with his previous single, " Teardrops", the song was an attempt by Harrison to make his music sound contemporary, to appease the commercial concerns of Warner Bros. Records. Disillusioned with the 1980s pop scene, Harrison refused to promote the release and withdrew from music-making for over four years. George Harrison (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English musician and singer-songwriter who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. "Spies Like Us" is the title song to the 1985 Warner Bros. motion picture of the same name, starring Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, and Donna Dixon. It was written and performed by Paul McCartney, and reached #7 on the ''Billboard'' singles chart in early 1986, making it McCartney's last US top ten hit until 2015's "FourFiveSeconds". It also reached #13 in the UK. Enrico Antonio Giorgio Spinetti (born 31 March 1951) is a Welsh session musician, session drummer whose playing has featured on many prominent rock and pop albums. Career Spinetti was born in Cwm, Blaenau Gwent, Cwm, near Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire (historic), Monmouthshire, Wales. His first band, aged about 12 or 13, was The Toby Four (named after Charrington Brewery, Toby beer), which rehearsed in the Ambray Hotel and played songs by The Shadows, amongst others.
