Wadih Al-Siqlabi
Wāḍiḥ al-Ṣiqlabī (; died November 1011) was a Slavs, Slav general of the late Umayyad dynasty, Umayyad Caliphate of Córdoba. He served as governor of the Central March, Middle March and as the ''ḥājib'', effectively prime minister, of the caliphs Muhammad II of Córdoba, Muḥammad II (1010) and Hishām II (1010–1011). He played a major role in the opening of the final Fitna of al-Andalus, ''fitna'' (civil war) of Córdoba. Wāḍiḥ, a Slav, was the governor of the Middle March with his capital at Medinaceli from at least the 990s. In 997, the leader of the Maghrāwa Berbers, Berber tribe in Africa, Zīrī ibn ʿAṭīya, renounced his allegiance to Córdoba. In response, Almanzor, al-Manṣūr, the ''de facto'' ruler of the Caliphate, dispatched Wāḍiḥ to Africa at the head of a large army in 998 to expand the Umayyad beachhead there, which at the time consisted only of Ceuta. Wadih El-Hage
Wadih Elias el-Hage ( ar, وديع الحاج, ''Wadī‘ al-Ḥāj'') (born July 25, 1960) is Lebanese, and naturalized American citizen, who is serving life imprisonment in the United States based on conspiracy charges for the 1998 United States embassy bombings. Born to a Maronite Catholic family, El-Hage converted to Islam while still in Lebanon in the 1970s. He emigrated to the United States, where he developed an interest in militant interpretations of Islamic theology while attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During the Soviet–Afghan War el-Hage traveled to Pakistan to work for a Saudi charity, returning to the US in 1985. He married 18 year old April Ray, an American citizen who had recently converted to Islam, gaining American citizenship in 1989. Wadih El Safi ( ar, وديع الصافي, born Wadih Francis; November 1, 1921 – October 11, 2013) was a Lebanese singer, songwriter, composer and actor. He was a Lebanese icon and the forefather of the country's musical culture. He was the longest singer in production, seventy-five years in the singing profession. He was the number one singer of his era. He was known amongst his peers to have incarnated and raised the ceiling of all the singing styles and music of that era and added his own intricate new styles and genres to the existing national musical and singing heritage. Wadih Sabra
Wadia (Wadih) Sabra ( ar, وديع صبرا ; 23 February 1876 – 11 April 1952) was a Lebanese composer and founder of the Conservatoire Libanais. Life Wadia (Wadih) Sabra was born in 1876 in the village of Ain el Jdideh and died in Beirut in 1952. He married Adèle Misk in 1921 and had no children. He was buried in the Evangelical Cemetery in Sodeco Beirut. As a composer, his music is characterized as a blend of Western and Eastern musical languages, incorporating the strengths and charms of both traditions. He is best known today as the composer of the Lebanese National Anthem, popularly known as ''Kulluna lil Watan'' (words by Rashid Nakhle), which was officially adopted by the Lebanese Government through a presidential decree on 12 July 1927.
