Wadeh Rashid Hasani Nadwi
Muhammad Wazeh Rashid Al-Hasani Al-Nadwi (1932 - 16 January 2019) was an Indian Islamic scholar, Arabic writer, researcher and journalist. He was the nephew of Islamic scholar and reformer Abul Hasan Ali Hasani Nadwi and brother of Rabey Hasani Nadwi. Nadwi was an alumnus of the Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama and the Aligarh Muslim University. He served as head of the education department of Nadwa, secretary general of the International Islamic Literary Organization and Islamic Research Academy. He edited the fortnightly ''Al-Raid'' and was also the assistant editor of '' Al-Baas Al-Islami''. Raebareli
Raebareli is a city in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Raebareli district and a part of Lucknow Division. The city is situated on the banks of the Sai river, southeast of Lucknow. It possesses many architectural features and sites, chief of which is a strong and spacious fort. As of 2011, Raebareli has a population of 191,316 people, in 35,197 households. History, Etymology and Post Independence Raebareli is supposedly a city founded by Bhars, and originally called Bharauli or Barauli. The meaning of the prefix "Rae"(pronounced Rai) is not clear — it may refer to the nearby village of Rahi, to the west, or it may alternatively derive from the title "Rai" borne by the Kayasth rulers of the place. Raebareli district is a district of Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. The city of Raebareli is the district headquarters. This district is a part of Lucknow Division in Uttar Pradesh state. The total area of Raebareli district is 3,371 Sq. km. As of 2011, its population is 3,405,559, which makes it the 27th largest in the state. It is a predominantly rural district, with 91% of the population living in rural areas. Geography Raebareli district is located in the southern part of Awadh, at the southern end of Lucknow Division. It is compact in shape — no part of the district is especially far from the city of Raebareli. Deobandi is a Islamic revival, revivalist movement within Sunni Islam, adhering to the Hanafi school of law, formed in the late 19th century around the Darul Uloom Deoband, Darul Uloom Madrassa in Deoband, India, from which the name derives, by Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, Rashid Ahmad Gangohi, and several others, after the Indian Rebellion of 1857, Indian Rebellion of 1857–58. Hanafi Fiqh Scholars
The Hanafi school ( ar, حَنَفِية, translit=Ḥanafiyah; also called Hanafite in English), Hanafism, or the Hanafi fiqh, is the oldest and one of the four traditional major Sunni schools (maddhab) of Islamic Law (Fiqh). It is named after the 8th century Kufan scholar, Abu Hanifa, a Tabi‘i of Persian origin whose legal views were preserved primarily by his two most important disciples, Imam Abu Yusuf and Muhammad al-Shaybani. It is considered one of the most widely accepted maddhab amongst Sunni Muslim community and is called the ''Madhhab of Jurists'' (maddhab ahl al-ray). The importance of this maddhab lies in the fact that it is not just a collection of rulings or sayings of Imam Abu Hanifa alone, but rather the rulings and sayings of the council of judges he established belong to it.
