Souleymane Cissé (film Director)
Souleymane Cissé (born April 21, 1940) is a Malian film director, regarded as one of the first generation of African filmmakers. He has been called "Africa's greatest living filmmaker" while his film ''Yeelen'' has been called "conceivably the greatest African film ever made." Biography Born in Bamako and raised in a Muslim family, Souleymane Cissé was a passionate cinephile from childhood. He attended secondary school in Dakar and returned to Mali in 1960 after national independence. His film career began as an assistant projectionist for a documentary on the arrest of Patrice Lumumba. This triggered his desire to create films of his own, and he obtained a scholarship at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography, the Moscow school of Cinema and Television. In 1970 he returned to Mali, and joined the Ministry of Information as a cameraman, where he produced documentaries and short films. Mary Twala
Mary Kuksie Twala (14 September 1939 – 4 July 2020) was a South African actress. In 2011, she was nominated for Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Career Twala featured in several South African local productions. She had a guest role in the first season of '' Generations''. In 2007, she starred in local drama, ''Ubizo: The Calling''. In 2010, she played a supporting role in ''Hopeville'', the film won numerous awards in several festivals and award ceremonies. Twala played "Ma Dolly" in the film, which earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination in the 6th Africa Movie Academy Awards. After undergoing a medical procedure that kept her out of filming for months, Twala made a comeback in '' Vaya'' in 2015. Adam Rose
Raymond John Leppan (born 20 July 1979) is a South African retired professional wrestler. He is best known for his time in WWE under the ring name Adam Rose. Making his debut on the South African independent circuit in 1995, Leppan signed with WWE in 2010, wrestling in its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) under the ring name Leo Kruger, where he became a two-time FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion. After FCW folded in 2012, Leppan continued to wrestle in its successor NXT as Leo Kruger, before moving to WWE's main roster, as Adam Rose in early 2014. After a series of controversies, Leppan asked for his release from the promotion in April 2016 and wrestled in the international independent circuit.
