Waaris (1988 Film)
''Waaris'' () is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Raveendra Peepat. It stars Smita Patil, Raj Babbar, Amrita Singh, Raj Kiran in lead roles. The film was adapted from the Punjabi novel ''Kaara — Hatthi'' by Sohan Singh Hans (as credited in the film). Audience had a mainstream story with some Masala quality entertainment. Smita Patil
Smita Patil (17 October 1955 – 13 December 1986) was an Indian actress who worked in films, television series and theatres. She appeared in over 80 Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam and Kannada films in a career that spanned just over a decade. Suresh Wadkar
Suresh Ishwar Wadkar (born 7 August 1955) is an Indian playback singer. He performs in both Hindi and Marathi films. Mahendra Kapoor (9 January 1934 – 27 September 2008) was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as ''Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono'' ( Gumrah) and ''Neele Gagan ke tale'' (Hamraaz). Uttam Singh (born 25 May 1948) is an Indian music director and a well-known violinist. He has also worked as a music arranger, programmer and recordist for many Bollywood films.
