WYGA-CD, virtual channel 16 ( UHF digital channel 29), is a low-powered, Class A beIN Sports Xtra- affiliated television station licensed to Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The station is owned by HC2 Holdings and licensed to HC2 LPTV Holdings. History Originally granted the callsign W07CP in November 1997, it became W55CR in December 1998, broadcasting on channel 55. The station then was granted the call letters WDAH-CA from January 2004 to July 2005. After a change in ownership, the station changed call letters and became WYGA-CA. In filings with the Federal Communications Commission, WYGA-CA had been forced to cease operations on a full-time basis on its allocated channel 55 due to issues with its transmit site, likely due to MediaFLO subscription mobile TV using the same channel, or nearby W55BM, or both. WUVM-LD, virtual channel 4 ( VHF digital 2), is a low-powered Estrella TV-affiliated television station licensed to Atlanta, Georgia, United States. On Cable, this station is available only in standard definition on Charter Spectrum channel 210, and Comcast Xfinity channel 15. It is one of the few LPTV stations in the country to be seen on satellite TV (since must-carry does not apply to them), as it is part of DirecTV's local lineup. The city of license is Atlanta, but the very directional antenna is aimed northwest and west from the North Druid Hills area, also covering most of Cobb County. It goes as far as Roswell in the north, Marietta to the northwest, and Lithia Springs to the west. Special Temporary Authority (STA) in U.S. broadcast law is a type of broadcast license which temporarily allows a broadcast station to operate outside of its normal technical or legal parameters. In the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) station database (CDBS), broadcast STA applications have a prefix of BSTA (general), BLSTA (legal), BESTA (engineering), or BLESTA (both). STAs can also be issued for other telecommunication services under FCC regulation. Often an STA is necessary due to an unforeseen event. Electromagnetic interference (EMI), also called radio-frequency interference (RFI) when in the radio frequency spectrum, is a disturbance generated by an external source that affects an electrical circuit by electromagnetic induction, electrostatic coupling, or conduction. WANF
WANF (channel 46) is a television station in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, affiliated with CBS. It is the flagship property of locally based Gray Television and is co-owned with independent station WPCH-TV (channel 17) and low-power, Class A Telemundo affiliate WKTB-CD (channel 47). WANF and WPCH-TV share studios on 14th Street Northwest in Atlanta's Atlantic Station district, while WANF's transmitter is located in the city's Woodland Hills section. The station was built in 1971 as WHAE-TV (later WANX-TV), owned by the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).
