WWE Saturday Morning Slam
''WWE Saturday Morning Slam'' is a short-lived American professional wrestling television show that was produced by the WWE. It aired as part of the ''Vortexx'' Saturday morning block launch on The CW from August 25, 2012 to May 11, 2013. The program had a TV Parental Guidelines rating of TV-G and TV-Y7 FV to meet the guidelines of the timeslot, thus more aggressive wrestling moves permissible under a broader TV-PG rating were unseen. The show was cancelled after one season on as The CW Vortexx owner Saban Brands and WWE disagreed on its future creative direction. It marked the WWE's first Saturday morning pro-wrestling show since Livewire in 2001. It is one of the WWE programming not yet shown on the WWE Network. Professional Wrestling
Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Tony Chimel
Tony Chimel is an American former professional wrestling ring announcer best known for his time with WWE. Announcing career World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment / WWE Before Chimel become a ring announcer, he and Joey Marella were the main ring technicians for the WWE. Chimel then began announcing duties for the company in 1989, working mostly televised B-Shows or non-televised house shows and filling in for Howard Finkel whenever necessary, including appearances on ''Raw''. Ring Announcer
A ring announcer is an in-ring (and sometimes on-camera) employee or contractor for a boxing, professional wrestling or mixed martial arts event or promotion, who introduces the competitors to the audience. In boxing and mixed martial arts bouts, introductions occur after both fighters have entered the ring or cage. Along with each fighter's name, the announcer typically also announces their height, weight, town, nickname, win–loss record and any current or past titles the fighter has won. In MMA, the fighting discipline is usually announced. In professional wrestling, wrestlers are similarly introduced, though usually before or as they come to the ring (the weight of each female wrestler is unannounced in most promotions). Michael Francis Foley (born June 7, 1965) is an American actor, author, retired professional wrestler, and color commentator.
