WUFL (1030 AM) is a non-commercial Christian radio station in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The station broadcasts with 5,000 watts, daytime only, with coverage of the Detroit, Michigan metropolitan area. WUFL is a Class D station operating on the clear-channel frequency of 1030 AM; WBZ in Boston, Massachusetts is the dominant Class A station on this frequency. The station was purchased and began broadcasting on October 26, 1988 as the seventh station owned and operated by Family Life Communications (commonly referred to as FLR or Family Life Radio). In November 2022 it was announced Family Life Radio would sell WUFL to Relevant Radio which is a Catholic broadcaster. Sterling Heights is a city in Macomb County of the U.S. state of Michigan, and one of Detroit's core suburbs. As of the 2020 Census, the city had a total population of 134,346. It is the second largest suburb in Metro Detroit, and the fourth largest city in Michigan. WBZ (1030 AM) is a Class A clear channel radio station licensed to Boston, Massachusetts. Originally started by, and formerly owned for most of its existence by, Westinghouse Broadcasting and its successor CBS Radio, WBZ is owned and operated by iHeartMedia.
