WSAN (1470 AM, "Real Oldies 1470") is a commercial radio station licensed in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It is owned by iHeartMedia and serves the Lehigh Valley radio market. It broadcasts an oldies radio format, with its studios and offices in the iHeart Broadcasting Center in Whitehall Township. It is the oldest station in the Lehigh Valley. WAEB (AM)
WAEB is a news, talk and sports radio station in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. WAEB broadcasts at 790 kHz AM. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. History WAEB began operations in 1949. The station was sold to Rust Broadcasting in 1957, adopting a Top 40 format and the slogan ''Music Radio 79 WAEB''. In 1983, the station began to evolve into more of a hot adult contemporary format, and by 1985, more of a straight adult contemporary format emphasizing oldies. WAEB-FM (104.1 MHz, "B104") is a Top 40 (CHR) radio station licensed to Allentown, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and broadcasts a contemporary hit radio format. History WAEB-FM signed on in 1961, initially simulcasting the Top 40 format airing on WAEB (790 AM). In the late 1960s, WAEB-FM separated from WAEB and went through several formats before eventually becoming a country music station with the WXKW call sign.
