The station is owned by Withers Broadcasting and licensed to Withers Broadcasting Company of Paducah, LLC. History The station was assigned the WZZL call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on November 1, 1992. Programming WZZL has been airing a mainstream rock format since inception. ''Backtrax USA'' is a weekly two-hour radio program hosted by former WHTZ (Z100) disc jockey Kid Kelly that premiered in 1992. The original show highlights hit music from the 1980s.
