WPTW "The Voice of the Upper Miami Valley, Ohio" (for Piqua, Troy and West Milton) is a commercial AM radio station in Piqua, Ohio, United States, on 1570 kHz with a power output of 250 watts. It is owned by Muzzy Broadcasting Group. ABC Radio Network news and local news from hall of famer Terry Lafferty. Its music format is a mix of 1970s', 1980s' plus some 60s and 90s for flavor ' classic hits. Local high school sports coverage remains a tradition at the station in addition to Ohio State Buckeyes football. Piqua ( ) is a city in Miami County, southwest Ohio, United States, 27 miles north of Dayton. The population was 20,522 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel (also known more recently as ''The True Oldies Channel: Greatest Hits'') is a radio network begun in the spring of 2004. Originally distributed by ABC Radio Networks via satellite, the service plays a hybrid oldies/classic hits format comprising music mostly from 1964 to 1979 but also plays selected cuts from the 1955-1963 era and also from the 1980s. As of September 22, 2016, it is distributed via United Stations Radio Networks. Prior to June 30, 2014; the service had over 100 affiliate stations across the United States. The station is owned with 96.7 WCSM-FM by Buzzards Media, LLC and also broadcasts on FM translator W262DC at 100.3 MHz, also located in Celina. The Weather Channel (TWC) is an American pay television channel owned by Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The channel's headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia. Adult contemporary music (AC) is a form of radio-played popular music, ranging from 1960s vocal and 1970s soft rock music to predominantly ballad-heavy music of the present day, with varying degrees of easy listening, pop, soul, R&B, quiet storm and rock influence.
