WPRD (1440 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish Variety format. Licensed to Winter Park, Florida, United States, WPRD is owned and operated by J & V Communications, Inc. WPRD serves as the main flagship station for J & V Communications, Inc. and is headquartered in Orlando, Florida, in the same building previously occupied by former stations WABR and WBJW (the latter now WOMX-FM). Some programming on WPRD is repeated on WOTS 1220 kHz in Kissimmee, WSDO 1400 kHz in Sanford, WTJV 1490 kHz in DeLand, and WUNA 1480 kHz in Ocoee. WPRD also shares programming with Puerto Rican station WCMN. WOMX-FM (105.1 MHz) is a commercial radio station licensed to Orlando, Florida. The station is owned by Audacy, Inc. and airs a hot adult contemporary radio format known as ''Mix 105.1''. WOMX-FM's studios and offices are located on Pembrook Drive in Maitland and the transmitter tower is off Fort Christmas Road in Bithlo. The transmitter is shared with WRUM, WJRR and WTKS-FM. WTJV (1490 AM) is a radio station licensed to DeLand, Florida and serving the Daytona Beach area. WTJV is owned by J & V Communications, Inc. WTJV simulcasts WSBB 1230 AM in New Smyrna Beach. The two stations broadcast an Adult Standards radio format. Both stations carry '' The Dave Ramsey Show'' on weekday afternoons. The station is an affiliate of CBS News Radio. History On September 10, 1948, the station signed on the air as WDLF. Stetson University bought the station the following year and changed the call sign to WJBS, reflecting the initials of university founder John B. Stetson.
