WOR Radio Network
The WOR Radio Network was a slate of nationally syndicated radio programming produced and distributed by flagship radio station WOR in New York City. The programming was primarily general interest commercial talk; only one non-talk program had ever been carried on the network, WAER's "Big Bands, Ballads and Blues". Following the sale of WOR to Clear Channel Communications in 2012, most of the remaining programming on the WOR Radio Network migrated to Radio America. Schedule The WOR Radio Network operated two separate feeds, WOR-1 and WOR-2. WOR-2 ceased in the late 2000s due to a lack of overlapping programming. Flagship (broadcasting)
In broadcasting, a flagship (also known as a flagship station or key station) is the broadcast station which originates a television network, or a particular radio or television program that plays a key role in the branding of and consumer loyalty to a network or station. This includes both direct network feeds and broadcast syndication, but generally not backhauls. Not all networks or shows have a flagship station, as some originate from a dedicated radio or television studio. The term derives from the naval custom where the commanding officer of a group of naval ships would fly a distinguishing flag. In common parlance, "flagship" is now used to mean the most important or leading member of a group, hence its various uses in broadcasting. Mike Colameco
Michael "Mike" Colameco is an American chef, author, and media personality. A 45-year veteran of the restaurant industry, he is the host and producer for Mike Colameco's Real Food television show, retooled from the original 3-part series "The Food Dude". Since 2006, he has hosted a live weekly radio show called Food Talk. Joseph Pinto, better known as Joey Reynolds, is a long-time radio show host and disc jockey. Reynolds' broadcasting career started on TV in Buffalo at WGR TV 2 and he worked at various stations, including at WNBC. Stephen D. Malzberg (; born April 20, 1959) is an American television and radio host, syndicated columnist, and political commentator. He hosted ''The Steve Malzberg Show'', a cable news and opinion show on Newsmax TV. Robert Ciro Gigante, known as Bob Grant (March 14, 1929 – December 31, 2013), was an American radio host. A veteran of broadcasting in New York City, Grant is considered a pioneer of the conservative talk radio format and was one of the early adopters of the "combat talk" format. Grant's career spanned from the 1950s until shortly before his death at age 84 on December 31, 2013. Arthur Frommer
Arthur Frommer (born July 17, 1929) is a travel writer. He founded the Frommer's brand of travel guides. Frommer was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, and moved to Brooklyn, New York when he was 14. He graduated from New York University in 1950 with a political science degree, and graduated with honors from Yale Law School, where he was an editor of the ''Yale Law Journal'', in 1953.
