WOHF
WOHF (92.1 FM, "The Wolf") is an American radio station licensed to Bellevue, Ohio, serving Ohio's Vacationland region, and featuring a classic hits music format. The station is an affiliate of Cumulus Media's Classic Hits (formerly "Pure Gold" and "Oldies Radio") network. WOHF is part of the Sandusky, Ohio cluster of stations owned by BAS Broadcasting, and is located on North River Road in Fremont. For many years, 92.1 FM was home to CHR/Top 40 station WNRR, known as "92.1 The Hits." In October 2003, the station was sold to BAS Broadcasting, who changed the calls to WOHF and switched the station to ABC Radio's The Classic Rock Experience format under the new moniker "The Wolf." WFRO-FM is a commercial FM radio station, licensed to the Sandusky county seat of Fremont, Ohio. The station operates at the federally assigned frequency of 99.1 MHz, and is owned by BAS Broadcasting. History WFRO had for much of its existence, been a combination AM and FM station, with the FM first going on the air in 1946, and the AM (at 900 kHz) coming on the air three years later. Both stations simulcast each other for a portion of the broadcast day, breaking away for separate programming during the midday hours, with the AM concentrating more on information and talk, and the FM for music. WMJK
WMJK is a commercial FM radio station serving the Sandusky, Port Clinton, and Lake Erie Islands area (collectively known as "Vacationland"). The station broadcasts with an effective radiated power of 3,000 watts at 100.9 FM and is licensed to Clyde, Ohio; about 15 miles west-southwest of Sandusky. The station is branded as "Coast Country 100.9". In January 2009, the station dropped its longtime classic rock format in favor of country music. It also serves as the "Vacationland" region affiliate of the Cleveland Browns Radio Network. WMJK is currently owned by BAS Broadcasting. Classic Rock (formerly The Classic Rock Experience prior to 2011) was a 24-hour music format produced by Cumulus Media Networks (now Westwood One). It drew an adult mainstream audience between the ages of 25-49 with classic rock music from artists such as Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers Band, The Beatles, Phil Collins, Deep Purple, The Eagles, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Queen, and The Rolling Stones. WSPD (1370 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Toledo, Ohio. It broadcasts a talk radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The radio studios and offices are located in downtown Toledo at Superior and Lafayette Streets. By day, WSPD is powered at 5,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna. But to avoid interfering with other stations on 1370 AM, at night it switches to a directional signal with a three-tower array. The transmitter is on Oregon Road near Wales Road in Perrysburg Township. The transmitter site still contains a small DJ booth - reportedly the original broadcast studio.
