WNRA (94.5 FM, "The Voice of The Shoals") is a radio station licensed to serve Hawk Pride, Alabama. The station is owned by NAHF Inc. It airs a heavy schedule of local news, traffic, and weather information. 92.3 FM originally signed on the air in Muscle Shoals on October 31, 2007. The station rebroadcast WLAY (1450 AM)'s all-Muscle Shoals music format until 2012. During that time, licensee URBan Radio Broadcasting dropped the WLAY call letters in favor of positioning the combo as "1450 & 92.3 The Sound." URBan lost the license for 92.3 FM in 2012, and AM 1450 went silent in December 2014. NAHF, Inc. applied for the 92.3 FM license in late 2013. WLAY is a radio station serving the Florence/Muscle Shoals, Alabama, market and was heard at 1450 AM and on a translator at 104.7 on the FM band; it is licensed to the city of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. WLAY is owned by Mike Self, through licensee Singing River Media Group, LLC. WLAY is one of the oldest broadcast radio stations in Alabama and the Southern United States. It presently airs only music written and recorded in Muscle Shoals. In addition, the station broadcasts live concerts in the area and highlights area charitable events.
