WMOU (1230 AM broadcasting, AM) is a radio station licensed to Berlin, New Hampshire, United States, and with its offices located in Littleton, New Hampshire, the station serves northern New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The station is owned by Barry P. and Brian Lunderville. History The station was assigned the call letters WIGW in 1987 & in 1989 the station changed its call sign to the current WMOU. In July 2000, Jericho Broadcasting Co. LLC (Arnold P. Hanson Jr. and Steven D. Griffin, both managers/50% owners) reached an agreement to purchase WMOU from New England Broadcasting Inc. (Stephen E. Powell, president). At the time of the sale, WMOU broadcast an adult standards music format. In the fall of 2008, WMOU began simulcasting the morning show of WLTN-FM and simulcasting WXXS the rest of the day and weekends. WXXS is a hot AC/Full service (radio format), full-service formatted Broadcasting, broadcast radio station licensed to Lancaster, New Hampshire, serving northern New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. History WXXS has been owned and operated by Barry P. Lunderville since May 1998. WXXS was the first station he purchased. In early 2008, Lunderville founded Radio New England Broadcasting, LLC. In August 1997, a construction permit to build a Class A radio station in Lancaster, New Hampshire was obtained. WLTN-FM is a full service adult contemporary formatted radio station in New Hampshire licensed to Lisbon, serving northern New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. WLTN-FM is owned by Barry P. Lunderville. WLTN-FM went on the air August 19, 1991, as a Class A radio station broadcasting from Lisbon and with studios in Littleton. On air it was known as "''Gold 96-7''" and it was a locally-operated oldies radio station. In 1994, the services of Westwood One's Oldies Channel were instituted. As of the 2020 census, the population was 31,268, making it the least-populated county in the state. The county seat is Lancaster.
