It was based on an existing civilian model, the WL, and is of the 45 solo type, so called due to its engine displacement and single-rider design. The Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) is a men's Senior A box lacrosse sanctioned by the Canadian Lacrosse Association. It consists of seven teams, based in cities throughout southwestern British Columbia. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year. White Ladies Aston
White Ladies Aston is a village in the Wychavon local government district of Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, and also lends its name to the Civil Parish in which the village is located. The village is located to the east of the A44 which started as a Saltway linking Droitwich to Oxford. To the south is Pershore and five miles west is Worcester. The parish is bound to the east by the Bow Brook. The parish, according to the 2011 census, has 87 households with 220 residents. There is evidence that people at least passed through the area during the Neolithic or early bronze age. As a village it has existed since Roman times with the parish boundaries being formed during the Anglo-Saxon period and have remain until today. The Domesday Book mentions local land owners notably the Bishop of Worcester who granted Aston Manor to the Cistercian Nuns in 1255. Winnebago Lutheran Academy, also known as WLA, is a private Lutheran high school in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, associated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). History WLA is the second oldest WELS high school, after Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee. The school was founded in 1925 by St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. After its start at the corner of Second and Marr streets in downtown Fond du Lac next to St. Peter's Church, the academy was moved in 1955 to its current location at 475 E. Merrill Avenue. The Women's Land Army (WLA) was a British civilian organisation created in 1917 by the Board of Agriculture during the First World War to bring women into work in agriculture, replacing men called up to the military. Women who worked for the WLA were commonly known as Land Girls (Land Lassies). The Land Army placed women with farms that needed workers, the farmers being their employers.
