WKMH (102.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Contemporary Christian music format. Licensed to Hudson, Michigan, it first began broadcasting in 1995 under the WMXE call sign. WKMH primarily targets the Hillsdale area. The 102.5 frequency has used satellite-delivered formats from Westwood One (formerly ABC Radio) throughout its history. When the station signed on as WMXE "Mix 102.5," it used the adult contemporary format known as "StarStation" (now "Hits & Favorites"), and later switched to the Hot AC format known as "Today's Best Hits". Hudson is a city in Lenawee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,307 at the 2010 census. Classic Rock (formerly The Classic Rock Experience prior to 2011) was a 24-hour music format produced by Cumulus Media Networks (now Westwood One). Today's Best Hits was an American radio network with a Hot Adult Contemporary format. It played many contemporary songs. It also featured many retro (1980s) hits, and on Saturday night, it played only requested retro songs. The network was previously known as Best Hits, Best Variety. Today's Best Hits was a property of Cumulus Media Networks (now Westwood One). "Retro Radio", the first nationwide radio broadcast devoted solely to music from the 1980s, was launched on Saturday nights in 1997. The show was created and hosted by Thom "Booray" Daniels until 2000. Hits & Favorites, also known as ABC AC, was a 24-hour music format produced by Cumulus Media Networks (now Westwood One). ABC AC combined a highly researched Adult Contemporary music mix targeted to women aged 25–49. Citadel Broadcasting purchased ABC Radio Networks (now Cumulus Media Networks) and the ABC owned-and-operated radio stations from The Walt Disney Company in February 2006. The Citadel acquisition has been completed and did not include Radio Disney or the ESPN Stations. Citadel merged with Cumulus Media on September 16, 2011. History Starstation, as it was formerly known, was part of the original Satellite Music Network, with studios in Mokena, Illinois, outside of Chicago.
