WIN TV (Trinidad And Tobago)
World Indian Network Television (commonly known as WIN TV) was a television station in Trinidad and Tobago. Launched in 2007, it was one of two local television stations (the other being ''ieTV'') dedicated to the Indo-Trinidadian and Tobagonian market. Its headquarters were located at the corner of Henry and Bonito Street, Chaguanas, Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago. History WIN TV was founded by media personality and entrepreneur, Mohan Jaikaran with company shareholdings held by Neil Seepersad and The Tsidkenu Investment Corporation. The station was launched on 14 July 2006 at the Trinidad Hilton where it began broadcasting on 1 May 2007 on Channel 37 on the UHF band and Cable Channel 12 on the Columbus Communications, Flow Trinidad cable service. The radio programming in Trinidad and Tobago caters to a diverse ethnic demographic. The genesis of radio broadcasting in Trinidad and Tobago began in 1925 with British Rediffiusion via a wired relay network. During World War II, the US Armed Forces Radio Service network – WVDI began broadcasting in May 1943 from Fort Reid, Chaguaramas. At that time, WVDI mainly serviced the armed forces throughout the Caribbean. British Rediffusion now Rediffusion (Trinidad) Limited created the Trinidad Broadcasting Company in 1946 which launched Radio Trinidad 730 AM in 1947. ''Crime Watch'' is a Trinbagonian television program presented by host Ian Alleyne, to help profile and assist law enforcement in the apprehension of fugitives wanted for various crimes, including murder, rape, kidnapping, child molestation, white collar crime, organized crime, armed robbery and gang violence.
