WHGM (1330 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an Oldies/Classic Hits format. Licensed to Havre De Grace, Maryland, United States, its daylight signal covers from the Eastern Baltimore area, including Towson and Bel Air to Elkton and Newark. The station is owned by Steve Clendenin, through licensee Maryland Media One, LLC. The station began broadcasting on May 15, 1948, owned by Jason & Virginia Pate of Havre de Grace. After WWII, Mr. Pate applied for the first radio license in Havre de Grace. The station later began broadcasting on FM as WHDG which in the late 1980s, was sold to Delmarva Broadcasting. The station broadcasts with an omni-directional signal 24- hours-a-day. Studios are in the Arts & Entertainment district of Havre De Grace at 331 North Union Avenue. Towson () is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The population was 55,197 as of the 2010 census. Chesapeake City, Maryland
Chesapeake City is a town in Cecil County, Maryland, United States. The population was 736 at the 2020 census. The town was originally named by Bohemian colonist Augustine Herman the Village of Bohemia — or Bohemia Manor — but the name was changed in 1839 after the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal (C&D Canal) was built in 1829. Today, the town contains numerous old homes from that era that have been converted into bed and breakfasts, restaurants and the local historical museum. History The town was separated into north and south sections when the C&D Canal was built through the middle of the town. The two were connected by a drawbridge until 1942 when that was destroyed by a freighter that struck it. The current bridge opened in 1949. In a broadcasting career spanning the 1940s–1990s, he appeared in various roles, becoming a staple on television screens in the Baltimore, Maryland, area.
