Mansfield is a city in and the county seat of Richland County, Ohio, United States. WMFD-TV, virtual channel 68 ( VHF digital channel 12), is an independent television station licensed to Mansfield, Ohio, United States. Owned by Mid-State Television, Inc. (headed by Robert Meisse), it is sister to radio stations WVNO-FM (106.1) and WRGM (1440 AM and translator 106.7 FM). WMFD (630 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Wilmington, North Carolina. It is owned by the Capitol Broadcasting Company and broadcasts a sports format, primarily from ESPN Radio. The radio studios and offices are on North Kerr Avenue in Wilmington. The radio station carries the games of the Cape Fear Rugby Football Club. By day, WMFD’s power is 800 watts; at night it slightly increases its power to 1,000 watts. WECT Tower
The WECT Tower was a 2043 ft (623 m) -tall mast used as antenna for TV-broadcasting, including broadcasting the analog television signal of WECT channel 6. It was built in 1969 and was situated along NC 53 south of White Lake in Colly Township in Bladen County, North Carolina, United States. Before demolition, WECT Tower was, along with several other masts, the seventh tallest man-made structure ever created; and was not only the tallest structure in North Carolina, but also the tallest in the United States east of the Mississippi River. On September 8, 2008, WECT ceased regular transmission of their analog signal from the Bladen County tower, relying instead on its newer digital transmitter in Winnabow.
