WCW Prime
''WCW Prime'' is an American professional wrestling show produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) which aired on the Prime Sports Network Mondays from February 6, 1995 to October 14, 1996. Along with ''WCW WorldWide'' and ''WCW Pro'', it was part of the WCW Disney tapings (matches were, in fact, shot on the same set that ''WorldWide'' was using at the time). The rights to ''WCW Prime'' now belong to WWE. Format ''WCW Prime'' mainly featured mid-card matches. There wasn't much storyline advancement or main-event wrestlers on the show. Sometimes, matches from ''WCW WorldWide'' and ''WCW Saturday Night'' were featured, along with highlights from the major shows such as ''WCW Monday Nitro''. The main event was referred to as the "Prime Match of the Week" on-air. The show was hosted by Dusty Rhodes and Chris Cruise, who was later replaced by Tony Schiavone. World Championship Wrestling
World Championship Wrestling, Inc. (WCW) was an American professional wrestling promotion founded by Ted Turner in 1988, after Turner Broadcasting System, through a subsidiary named Universal Wrestling Corporation, purchased the assets of National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) territory Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) (which had aired its programming on TBS). For much of its existence, WCW was one of the top professional wrestling promotions in the United States alongside the World Wrestling Federation (WWF; now known as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)), at one point surpassing the latter in terms of popularity. After initial success through utilization of established wrestling stars of the 1980s, the company appointed Eric Bischoff to executive producer of television in 1993. Tony Schiavone
Noah Anthony Schiavone (, ; born November 7, 1957) is an American sports announcer, professional wrestling commentator and podcaster currently signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a play-by-play commentator and senior producer. He has previously worked for Jim Crockett Promotions, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and Major League Wrestling (MLW). In addition to his work in wrestling, Schiavone has also worked as a broadcaster for the Gwinnett Braves/Stripers of Minor League Baseball and Georgia Bulldogs football. Virgil Riley Runnels Jr. (October 11, 1945 – June 11, 2015), better known as "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, was an American professional wrestler, booker, and trainer who most notably worked for the National Wrestling Alliance, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling, and the World Wrestling Federation, later known as the WWE. Rhodes is considered as one of the greatest wrestlers and talkers in the history of professional wrestling. ''WCW Saturday Night'' is an American weekly Saturday night television show on TBS that was produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Launched in 1971 initially by Georgia Championship Wrestling, the program existed through various incarnations under different names before becoming ''WCW Saturday Night'' in 1992. WCW Disney Tapings
The WCW Disney tapings were a series of television tapings of professional wrestling matches conducted by the now defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) at the Disney-MGM Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios) in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. History In 1993, WCW began taping in-ring footage for their syndicated television shows (such as ''WCW WorldWide'', ''WCW Pro'', and '' WCW Prime'') at the Disney/MGM Studios. Eric Bischoff who had become the executive producer of WCW, wanted to get away from the old school Southern arenas to a more modern arena, with bright lights.
