WCST is a News radio, News/Talk radio, Talk/Sports Radio, Sports formatted Broadcasting, broadcast radio station licensed to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, serving Berkeley Springs and Morgan County, West Virginia. WCST is owned John and David Raese's West Virginia Radio Corporation, through licensee West Virginia Radio Corporation of the Alleghenies. WCST simulcasts Martinsburg, West Virginia-based sister-station WEPM. History WCST signed on the air on September 7, 1958. WCST started with Dale Brooks, Tom Butcher, Kenny Robertson and Gary Daniels. They offered local programming, advertising and rock n' roll music. The call letters of the station were a tribute to Charles S. Trump, a major force behind getting the station on the air. WXDC (92.9 FM) is a country music formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, serving Berkeley Springs in West Virginia and Hancock in Maryland. West Virginia Media Corporation began operating WXDC and sister-station WCST on May 1, 2019, as they begin the process of buying the two stations from Metro Radio, Inc. West Virginia MetroNews is a radio network heard on many radio stations throughout the State of West Virginia. The network is owned by the West Virginia Radio Corporation. West Virginia MetroNews offers a mix of news and talk. It held the rights to live play-by-play coverage of West Virginia University Mountaineers sports games, which it marketed under the DBA name "Mountaineer Sports Network", but lost these rights following the end of the 2012/13 basketball season. Berkeley Springs is a town in, and the county seat of, Morgan County, West Virginia, United States, in the state's Eastern Panhandle.
