The Dodge WC series, sometimes nicknamed 'Beeps', were a prolific range of light 4WD and medium 6WD military utility trucks, produced by Dodge / Fargo during World . Together with the -ton jeeps produced by Willys and Ford, the Dodge tons and tons made up nearly all of the light 4WD trucks supplied to the U.S. military in WWII – with Dodge contributing some 337,500 4WD unitsIncluding the 4,640 VC trucks of 1940 (over half as many as the jeep). WC Postcode Area
The WC (Western Central) postcode area, also known as the London WC postcode area, is a group of postcode districts in central London, England. The area covered is of high density development, and includes parts of the City of Westminster and the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington, plus a very small part of the City of London. The WC1 and WC2 postcode districts are relatively recent, having been established in 1917. Allis-Chalmers Model WC
The Model WC was a tractor made by Allis-Chalmers from 1933 to 1948. The WC was designed from its start as a nimble, low-cost, but well-powered row-crop tractor that would make the best use of pneumatic rubber tires, which Allis-Chalmers had just introduced to agriculture in 1932..pp. 37–39 A successful model at the historical height of row-crop tractor demand, the WC was the best-selling tractor model that Allis-Chalmers ever built. Tungsten carbide (chemical formula: WC) is a chemical compound (specifically, a carbide) containing equal parts of tungsten and carbon atoms. In its most basic form, tungsten carbide is a fine gray powder, but it can be pressed and formed into shapes through sintering for use in industrial machinery, cutting tools, chisels, abrasives, armor-piercing shells and jewelry. Tungsten carbide is approximately twice as stiff as steel, with a Young's modulus of approximately 530–700 GPa, and is double the density of steel—nearly midway between that of lead and gold. William LaShawn Calhoun Jr. (born February 3, 1970), better known by his stage name WC (pronounced "dub-c"), is an American rapper and actor. Westside Connection was an American hip-hop supergroup formed by Mack 10, WC and Ice Cube. The group's debut album, ''Bow Down'', reached the number 2 position on the ''Billboard'' 200 in 1996, going platinum that year. Biography Westside Connection began performing together in 1994, appearing on Mack 10's self-titled debut album, ''Mack 10'', on the song " Westside Slaughterhouse". A few months later, the group again joined forces, this time appearing on WC's album, ''Curb Servin''', on the song "West Up!". Wien Air Alaska (IATA: WC) was a United States airline formed from Northern Consolidated Airlines (NCA) and Wien Alaska Airways. The company was famous for being the first airline in Alaska, and one of the first in the United States; it ceased operations on 23 November 1984 when it was operating as Wien Airlines. History Noel Wien flew an open-cockpit biplane, a Hisso Standard J1 from Anchorage, Alaska's "Park Strip" to Fairbanks, Alaska on 6 July 1924 for Alaska Aerial Transportation Company. In 1925, Wien purchased a Fokker F.III monoplane with a cabin built in 1921 in Amsterdam for the Fairbanks Airplane Company, and it was shipped to Seward, Alaska, by boat, then shipped in pieces via the Alaska Railroad to Fairbanks. WC (band)
WC is a Polish punk rock band playing since 1981. History WC debuted in 1981 on Rock Youth Meeting in Miastko. After the concert organised for the anniversary of the end of World War II in 1982 the band loses the place for rehearsals. After that WC had to practice in parks and forests. In 1982, band appeared on following events: 3rd Polish Young Generation Contest, Punk Invasion '82, 2nd Music Camping. Two years later, during the rehearsal in MGOK Miastko material for their album '' Archiwum'' was recorded. In 1985, the band suspends operation. In 1991, pirate label released two unofficial albums (''Nasza Wojna'' and ''Agresja'') which contained material from 1984 rehearsal. 1993 brought reactivation of the band. Write Combining
Write combining (WC) is a computer bus technique for allowing data to be combined and temporarily stored in a buffer the write combine buffer (WCB) to be released together later in burst mode instead of writing (immediately) as single bits or small chunks. Technique Write combining cannot be used for general memory access (data or code regions) due to the weak ordering. Write-combining does not guarantee that the combination of writes and reads is done in the expected order. For example, a write/read/write combination to a specific address would lead to the write combining order of read/write/write which can lead to obtaining wrong values with the first read (which potentially relies on the write before).
