Wyck, Hampshire
Wyck is a hamlet in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is northeast of the village of East Worldham, east of Alton, just off the B3004 road. It has a total of 24 households, 3 of which are in the Wyck Place Estate. It is a small hamlet with an agricultural heritage and it is walking distance from its closest neighbours, East Worldham and Binsted. It is in the civil parish of Binsted. History There was rumored to be a small monastery on Monkwood Hill which would have owned all the land, but all evidence was destroyed during the reign of Henry VIII. The main feature today is the Old oast house. The Wyck house, also known as the Haines house or Hans Millan house, is a historic mansion, museum, garden, and urban farm in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Wyck (; li, Wiek ) is a neighbourhood in Maastricht, Netherlands comprising the eastern bank of the Meuse ( nl, Maas) in the city's historic centre. Areas The neighbourhood consists of three distinct parts: * ''Oud-Wyck'' ("Old Wyck"), comprising the oldest built-up area, until 1867 surrounded by Maastricht's Medieval city wall. * ''Stationsbuurt'' ("Station Neighbourhood"), the area west of the railway and Maastricht railway station, predominantly dating from the 19th century. * ''Céramique'', on the former factory grounds of Société Céramique south of Old Wyck, redeveloped during the 1990s/2000s.
