Worms are many different distantly related bilateral animals that typically have a long cylindrical tube-like body, no limbs, and no eyes (though not always). Erwin Wurm (born 1954) is an Austrian artist. He lives and works in Vienna and Limberg in Austria, and in New York City. Early life Erwin Wurm was born in Bruck an der Mur, Austria, in 1954. Frank Wurm
Frank James Wurm (April 27, 1924 – September 19, 1993) was an American professional baseball pitcher. Wurm grew up in Salem, New York and attended Salem Central School. In September 1941, he signed a contract with the Brooklyn Dodgers and began pitching in their farm system. At age 18 in 1942, he pitched for the Olean Oilers and tied the PONY League record for strikeouts in a game. The following February, he was inducted into the United States Army and was shipped out to Sicily by the summer. According to the ''Brooklyn Daily Eagle'', Wurm, then 19 years old, "was one of the first Americans to enter Cassino" but was medically discharged shortly thereafter due to " battle fatigue." He described a friend and fellow soldier dying in his arms after they were both hit by a German artillery shell. Louis Friedrich Wurm (1832 – 1 December 1910), generally known as Fred or Frederick was an early colonist of South Australia. History Wurm was born at Dortmund (then in Prussia), in 1832. He emigrated to South Australia aboard ''not found'' in 1849. The following year he joined the Mounted Police, and was for some years stationed at Angaston. In 1856 he joined his brother Friedrich Carl Wilhelm Heinrich "Henry" Wurm in business in Grenfell Street, but when Henry left for New Zealand in 1860 Frederick went into business as a grain and produce merchant in Twin Street. John Nicholas Wurm (December 6, 1927 – April 27, 1984) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Belleville in Illinois from 1981 to 1984. He previously serve as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Louis in Missouri from 1976 to 1981. Mary J. A. Wurm (her surname was originally Würm) (18 May 1860 in Southampton – 21 January 1938 in Munich) was an English pianist and composer. Life and career She was born as Mary Josephine Agnes Würm in England, the sister of Alice Verne-Bredt, Mathilde Verne, and Adela Verne. She lived in Stuttgart as a child, but later returned to London. She studied piano with Clara Schumann and composition with Charles Villiers Stanford. Ole Worm (13 May 1588 – 31 August 1654), who often went by the Latinized form of his name Olaus Wormius, was a Danish physician, natural historian and antiquary. He was a professor at the University of Copenhagen where he taught Greek, Latin, physics and medicine. Stephen Adolphe Wurm ( hu, Wurm István Adolf, ; 19 August 1922 – 24 October 2001) was a Hungarian-born Australian linguist. Early life Wurm was born in Budapest, the second child to the German-speaking Adolphe Wurm and the Hungarian-speaking Anna Novroczky. He was christened Istvan Adolphe Wurm. His father died before Stephen was born. Both of his parents were multilingual, and Wurm showed an interest in languages from an early age. Attending school in Vienna and travelling to all parts of Europe during his childhood, Wurm spoke roughly nine languages by the time he reached adulthood, a gift he inherited from his father, who spoke 17.
