Wunderbar (The Living End Album)
''Wunderbar'' is the eighth studio album by Australian punk rock band The Living End, released on 28 September 2018. It was produced by Tobias Kuhn and is the band's first album recorded in Europe. Composition and recording In September 2017, the band decided to write and record a new album quickly to push themselves out of their comfort zone. They booked pre-production and recording sessions for January 2018 in Berlin during winter, giving themselves less than four months to write an entire album of new material. Frontman Chris Cheney said: "We had limited time to write, which we were freaked out by at first. But it turned into a good thing because it meant full steam ahead." Many of the songs on ''Wunderbar'' tackle political issues—"Death of the American Dream" concerns social politics and "Not Like the Other Boys" takes on discrimination. The Living End
The Living End are an Australian punk rockabilly band from Melbourne, formed in 1994. Since 2002, the line-up consists of Chris Cheney (vocals, guitar), Scott Owen (double bass, vocals), and Andy Strachan (drums). The band rose to fame in 1997 after the release of their Extended Play, EP ''Second Solution / Prisoner of Society'', which peaked at No. 4 on the Australian ARIA Charts, ARIA Singles Chart. They have released eight studio albums, two of which reached the No. 1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart: ''The Living End (The Living End album), The Living End'' (October 1998) and ''State of Emergency (The Living End album), State of Emergency'' (February 2006). Rotenburg an der Fulda (officially ''Rotenburg a.d. Fulda'') is a town in Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in northeastern Hesse, Germany lying, as the name says, on the river Fulda (river), Fulda. Christopher John Cheney (born 2 January 1975) is an Australian rock musician, record producer, and studio owner. He is the founding mainstay guitarist, songwriter, and lead vocalist of the rockabilly band The Living End, which was formed in 1994 with schoolmate Scott Owen. Cheney wrote the group's top 20 hits on the ARIA Singles Chart: "Second Solution" / "Prisoner of Society" (1997), "All Torn Down" (1999), " Pictures in the Mirror" (2000), " Roll On" (2001), "One Said to the Other" (2003), "What's on Your Radio" (2005), " Wake Up" (2006), and "White Noise" (2008).
