Eduard Wunder
Eduard Wunder (1800–1869) was a German philology, philologist, and from 1843 to 1866 Rector of the Gymnasium St. Augustine, Fürstenschule Grimma in Saxony. Life Wunder was born at Wittenberg on May 4, 1800, the son of Karl Friedrich Wunder, deacon and later archdeacon of the Stadtkirche Wittenberg, and his wife, Christiane Friederike Ebert, daughter of Johann Jacob Ebert, a notable mathematician and astronomer. At the age of twelve, he was sent to the lyceum at Wittenberg, where in 1814 he witnessed the siege and capture of the town from the First French Empire, French by the Kingdom of Prussia, Prussian general Bogislav Friedrich Emanuel von Tauentzien, Tauentzien. From 1816 to 1818, he studied at the Sächsisches Landesgymnasium Sankt Afra zu Meißen, Fürstliche Landesschule at Meissen. George Wunder
George S. Wunder (April 24, 1912 – December 13, 1987) was a cartoonist best known for his 26 years illustrating the ''Terry and the Pirates (comic strip), Terry and the Pirates'' comic strip. Born in Manhattan, Wunder grew up in Kingston, New York. As a youth, he planned a career as a professional comics artist. Other than correspondence courses, including the International Correspondence School art course, he was a self-taught artist. At the age of 24, he began as a staff artist at the Associated Press, where he worked alongside illustrator Noel Sickles and sports cartoonist Tom Paprocki. At AP, Wunder illustrated fiction and various editorial cartoon features, such as "Can Hitler Beat the Russian Jinx?" During World War II, he served in the Army from 1942 to 1946. Ingolf Wunder
Ingolf Wunder (born 8 September 1985 in Klagenfurt) is an Austrian classical pianist. In 2010, Wunder was the second prize winner at the XVI International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. He also won special prizes for best concerto, best Polonaise-Fantasie performance, and the public prize at the competition. Career Wunder had his first music lesson at the age of four, initially learning the violin. His talent for the piano was discovered at the age of 14. He studied at the conservatories of Klagenfurt and Linz before joining the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. A participant in the earlier 2005 International Chopin Piano Competition, Wunder failed to make the last stage. Little Trees are disposable air fresheners shaped like a stylized evergreen tree, marketed for use in motor vehicles, and most commonly seen hanging from rear-view mirrors. They are made of a specially formulated absorbent material produced in a variety of colors and scents. Little Trees were invented in 1952 in Watertown, New York, by Julius Sämann, a German-Jewish chemist and businessman who had fled the Nazis. He had studied Alpine tree aromas in the forests of Canada and was interested in the biological mechanisms used to transport and disseminate them. Little Trees air fresheners are manufactured in the United States by the Car-Freshner Corporation at factories (such as Royal Pine) in Watertown, New York and DeWitt, Iowa. Andreas Bourani
Andreas Bourani (formerly Stiegelmair; 2 November 1983) is a German singer-songwriter. Career Bourani was born to Egyptian parents and adopted as an infant by a German family in Augsburg, in the southwest of Bavaria. As a youth, he attended high school at St. Stephan and studied at the private music school Downtown Music Institute. In 2008, he moved from Munich to Berlin. In 2010, he received a recording contract with Universal Music and performed as an opening act for Philipp Poisel and Culcha Candela on their 2010 arena tours.
