Wu Feng (Qing Dynasty)
Wu Feng (; 1699, Pinghe County, Fujian-1769, Zhuluo County) was a Chinese merchant whose legend was once popular in Taiwan. Description Wu Feng was a Han Chinese who befriended aborigines. According to the popular story about him, which was not recorded before 1855, he tried to persuade the Alishan, Chiayi, A-li-shan tribe to give up Taiwanese aborigines#Headhunting, their practice of headhunting, but his attempts were unsuccessful. On one occasion he declared that on the following day the aborigines would see a man in a red cloak. He told them they would cut off the man's head, but it would be the last head they ever took. The next day, the aborigines saw a man in a red cloak and decapitated him, only to find out they had killed Wu Feng himself. Horrified, they gave up the practice of headhunting forever. Wu Feng (engineer)
Wu Feng (born 12 June 1951) is a Chinese engineer who is a professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Biography Wu was born in Beijing, on 12 June 1951. During the Down to the Countryside Movement, he was a sent-down youth in Shanxi. He received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from Taiyuan University of Technology in 1978 and 1981, respectively. He taught at Beijing Institute of Technology since 1982, what he was promoted to associate professor in 1986 and to full professor in 1991. In May 2014, he was awarded an honorary doctor of science from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Uğur Rıfat Karlova ( zh, t=吳鳳, p=Wú Fèng; born August 2, 1980) is a Turkish-Taiwanese stand-up comedian, actor, TV host, showman, and writer. Biography Born in Izmit, Karlova's family origins go back to the city of Karlová. He attended primary school in his father's city of Hayrabolu in Tekirdağ Province. Following that, his father sent him to Private Tekirdag College which was the first English private school in Tekirdag. After graduation, he continued his studies at the Tekirdag Tourism Profession High School. In 1998, he graduated from this school's ''Department of Accounting and Reception'' and in the same year he enrolled at the University of Mersin's Vocational School of Anamur in the ''Department of Hotel Management in German Language''.
