Old World Sparrow
Old World sparrows are a group of small passerine birds forming the family Passeridae. They are also known as true sparrows, a name also used for a particular genus of the family, ''Passer''. They are distinct from both the New World sparrows, in the family Passerellidae, and from a few other birds sharing their name, such as the Java sparrow of the family Estrildidae. Many species nest on buildings and the house and Eurasian tree sparrows, in particular, inhabit cities in large numbers. They are primarily seed-eaters, though they also consume small insects. Brian Albert Wrobel (born April 4, 1982) is a former American football quarterback. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2005. Wrobel was also a member of the Berlin Thunder, Green Bay Packers and Rhein Fire. He played college football at Winona State. Early years Wrobel was a three-sport letterwinner at DeSoto High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball. Professional career Seattle Seahawks Wrobel was not drafted and was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks. Piotr Jan Wróbel (born 1953) is a Polish-Canadian historian and expert specializing in Polish history and Central and Eastern European history. His academic research revolves around the national minorities of Central and Eastern Europe with special focus on Polish-Jewish relations and the history of Polish Jewry since the Partitions of Poland. Wróbel is currently a Professor in the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts and Science of the University of Toronto, as well as member of the Faculty at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Trinity College in the University of Toronto. Biography Wróbel studied at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw with Andrzej Chorosiński, the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart with Jon Laukvik and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz with Gunther Rost. Marian Wróbel (1 January 1907 – 25 April 1960) was a prominent Polish chess problemist of the mid-twentieth century. Between 1947 and 1950 he was considered the leading chess composer in the world. During his lifetime he published more than 1,000 problems and was a FIDE International Master of Chess Composition. Biography Born in Lwów (now Lviv) on 1 January 1907, Wróbel learned to play chess as a child of 5 and became interested in chess problems. In 1922, he published his first problem at the age of 15 and in 1928 the International Association of Problemists ranked him fourth in the world.
