Heydar Aliyev Arena
The Heydar Aliyev Sports and Exhibition Complex is the main exhibition space of Baku, Azerbaijan. Named after a former President Heydar Aliyev ( whose presidency was marked with his large cult of personality), it is located on Tbilisi Avenue between Hyatt Hotel and Grand Hotel Europe. Since its opening in 1990, it held about 40 international competitions in different kinds of sports. The facility seats 8,000 people and being the largest sports facility in Azerbaijan, the complex offers all the necessary conditions for major international competitions. History The construction of the building started in 1977 but was not completed until 1989. In 2006, the facility underwent renovation with a Serbian company, SERBAZ, replacing the glazing, repairing level one and two lobbies and installing the air conditioning system. Martina Kuenz
Martina Kuenz (born 1 November 1994) is an Austrian freestyle wrestler. At the 2018 World Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, she won one of the bronze medals in the women's 72kg event. She is also a three-time medalist at the European Wrestling Championships. Career In 2010, Kuenz competed in the girls' freestyle 70kg event at the Summer Youth Olympics held in Singapore. She finished in 5th place. In 2013, she was eliminated in her first match in the 67kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Kuenz represented Austria at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan; she lost her bronze medal match in the 69kg event. She also represented Austria four years later in the 76kg event at the 2019 European Games in Minsk, Belarus. In this competition, she was eliminated by Natalia Vorobieva of Russia in the repechage. Danutė Domikaitytė is a Lithuanian freestyle wrestler. She won one of the bronze medals in the 68kg event at the 2020 European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy. Career In 2018, Domikaitytė competed in the women's 68kg event at the Klippan Lady Open in Klippan, Sweden. In March 2021, she competed at the European Qualification Tournament in Budapest, Hungary hoping to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
