World Series Of Soccer
The term World Series of Soccer was initially a series of senior international soccer matches held by USSF between 1991 and 1994. In 2005, Major League Soccer re-introduced the name for a series of professional matches in the United States. The United States Soccer Federation (USSF), commonly referred to as U.S. Soccer, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the official governing body of the sport of soccer in the United States. Baltimore Blast (1980–1992)
The Baltimore Blast were a longtime member of the Major Indoor Soccer League. From 1978 to 1980, the team played as the Houston Summit, but moved prior to the 1980–81 season. The team won the league's championship in the 1983–84 season. The team folded when the MISL ceased operation in the summer of 1992. Troy Snyder
Troy Snyder (born November 24, 1965, in Reading, Pennsylvania) is a former U.S. soccer player who is second on the high school career scoring list with 208 goals and 117 assists. He spent most of his career playing indoor soccer, but also won an outdoor title in 1987 with the San Diego Nomads. Snyder earned five cap (sports), caps with the USMNT, U.S. national team between 1985 and 1991 as well as another nine with the U.S. National Futsal Team. Jeff Agoos
Jeffrey Alan Agoos (born May 2, 1968) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a defender. He is one of the all-time appearance leaders for the United States national team. Agoos served as the Sporting Director for the New York Red Bulls, and currently is the Vice President of Competition for Major League Soccer. Agoos won a record five MLS championships: three with D.C. United, and two with the San Jose Earthquakes. He also won the 1996 U.S. Open Cup, and was the 2001 MLS Defender of the Year. The Milwaukee Wave is an American professional indoor soccer team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Founded in 1984, they have been the oldest continuously operating professional soccer team in the United States and are seven-time league champions, most recent being the 2018–19 champions of the Major Arena Soccer League. The team plays their games at the UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena. The team colors are black and yellow. Jimmy Banks
Jimmy Banks (September 2, 1964 – April 26, 2019) was an American soccer defender. After a standout career at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Banks spent six seasons playing indoor soccer with the Milwaukee Wave. He also earned 35 caps with the national team between 1986 and 1991, including two games at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. After retiring from playing professionally, Banks entered the coaching ranks with both youth clubs and the Milwaukee School of Engineering men's team. Banks died of stomach cancer on April 26, 2019. San Francisco Bay Blackhawks were a professional soccer team which came into existence in 1989 as a team in the Western Soccer League (WSL).
