Woodlawn Station (Charlotte)
Woodlawn is a light rail station in Charlotte, North Carolina. The at-grade dual side platforms are a stop along the Lynx Blue Line and serves an area of mostly commercial and industrial businesses, with the neighborhoods of Collingwood and Madison Park located nearby. It also features a 382-space park and ride and local bus connections. Location The station and the park and ride are both located along Old Pineville Road, a south from the Woodlawn Road interchange. Next to the station are two small strip malls: Time Square Station and Woodlawn Plaza. Woodlawn Marketplace, a much larger strip mall that include Burlington, Home Depot, and TJ Maxx, is adjacent to the station, but can only be accessed via Woodlawn Road. Woodlawn (IRT Jerome Avenue Line)
The Woodlawn station (sometimes called Woodlawn–Jerome Avenue station) is the northern terminal of the New York City Subway's IRT Jerome Avenue Line. The station is located at the intersection of Bainbridge and Jerome Avenues, outside Woodlawn Cemetery. Despite the station name, this intersection is in the Norwood section of the Bronx, and not in Woodlawn. It is served by the 4 train at all times. This station was constructed by the Interborough Rapid Transit Company as part of the Dual Contracts and opened in 1918. Its opening helped spur development of the area that had begun with the opening of nearby Woodlawn Cemetery. Following renovations in 2005, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its use of ornamental concrete. Woodlawn Station (Metro-North)
Woodlawn station (also known as Woodlawn–East 233rd Street station) is a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad's Harlem Line, serving the Woodlawn section of the Bronx, New York City. It is from Grand Central Terminal and is located on East 233rd Street near Webster Avenue in the Zone 2 Metro-North fare zone. Just north of the station is Woodlawn Junction, where the New Haven Line splits from the Harlem Line to join the Northeast Corridor. History The New York and Harlem Railroad laid tracks through Woodlawn during the mid-1840s as part of their effort to expand the line to Tuckahoe. A March 17, 1848 agreement gave the New York and New Haven Railroad trackage rights over the NY&H from Williamsbridge south into New York City. Woodlawn Railway Station
Woodlawn railway station is a railway station situated on the Dublin-Galway line. It is beside a level crossing on the R359 regional road in the village of Woodlawn in County Galway, Ireland. The station is on the Dublin to Galway Rail service. Passengers to or from Westport travel to Athlone and change trains. Passengers to or from Limerick and Ennis travel to Athenry and change trains. History The station opened on 1 August 1858 and was closed for goods traffic on 2 June 1978. Facilities The station has an accessible waiting room and toilet. A ticket machine is located at the entrance to the platform. The car park is currently free of charge.
