Won't Stand Down
"Won't Stand Down" is a song by British rock band Muse. Released as a single on 13 January 2022, it is their first single from '' Will of the People'', their ninth studio album. It topped the UK Rock & Metal chart and reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was a sleeper hit in the United States, reaching number 1 on ''Billboard''s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in May 2022, becoming the first Muse song to do so. Release On 25 December 2021, Muse lead singer and guitarist Matt Bellamy held a brief livestream on the official Muse Instagram account. In the video, he can be seen driving his Tesla on Autopilot mode, with his 10-year-old son Bing in the passenger seat. The pair are listening (and, in Bing's case, headbanging) to a then-unreleased Muse song, entitled "Won't Stand Down" on the car stereo screen, while Matt provides occasional commentary over the track. The ARIA Digital Track Chart ranks the highest selling legally downloaded music tracks within Australia and is provided by the Australian Recording Industry Association. History The Digital Track Chart was established in 2006 and first published on 9 April. Later that year in October it was announced that the sales from physical singles and digital downloads would be integrated with the official Top 100 singles chart which commenced on 8 October. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Chris Gehringer (born May 27, 1962) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered recordings such as Gwen Stefani's '' Love. Angel. Music. Baby.'' (2004), Rihanna's '' Loud'' (2010), Lady Gaga's '' Born This Way'' (2011) and Drake's '' Take Care'' (2011). Biography Gehringer was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and raised in Bergen County. Dominic James Howard (born 7 December 1977) is an English musician who is the drummer and co-founder of the rock band Muse. Early life Howard was born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, in England. When he was around 8 years old he moved with his family to Teignmouth, a small town in Devon. He began playing drums at about the age of 12, when he was inspired by a jazz band performing at school. Howard's first band was named ''Carnage Mayhem'', which he was in at school. Meanwhile, he befriended Matt Bellamy, who played guitar but did not have a stable band. Christopher Tony Wolstenholme (born 2 December 1978) is an English musician. He is the bassist and backing vocalist for the rock band Muse. Early life Chris Wolstenholme grew up in the English town of Rotherham before moving to Teignmouth, Devon, where he played drums for a post-punk band. He met Matt Bellamy and Dominic Howard from another band while both bands rehearsed in the same building. Bellamy and Howard convinced Wolstenholme to take up bass and start a new band with them, initially called Rocket Baby Dolls. The band was renamed Muse in 1994.
