The is a Japanese Go competition. Outline The Women's Kisei is sponsored by NTT DoCoMo, and uses a hayago format, of 30 seconds per move and a 10x1 minute byo-yomi, unlike the Kisei, which uses an eight-hour thinking time format. The winner's purse is 5,000,000 Yen ($38,000). This is a list of professional Go tournaments, for competitors in the board game of ''Go''. The tradition, initiated by the Honinbo Tournament in Japan, is for an event to be run annually, leading up to a title match and the award of a title for one year to the winner. Tournaments do not consist, generally, of players coming together in one place for a short period, but are spread out over time. Umezawa Yukari
née is a Japanese Go professional. Biography Yukari Umezawa was born in Tokyo in 1973, and graduated from Keio University in 1996. She first played Go at the age of 6 and she became a professional Go player in 1996. She then attained the rank of 5-dan in 2002 at the age of 29, and was married in the same year. Umezawa supervised the production of ''Hikaru no Go'', a manga about Go written by Yumi Hotta and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. She also became a consultant for the anime version of ''Hikaru no Go'' and hosted Go educational programs on NHK. Umezawa's sensei was Masao Kato. Umezawa is married to Shinya Yoshihara is a former Japanese Association football, football player. Nakamura Sumire
is a Japanese professional Go player. She became the youngest ever female professional Go player in Japan on April 1, 2019. She made her professional debut on April 22, 2019 in the preliminary round of the Ryusei tournament in western Japan at age 10 years and one month, breaking the record held by Rina Fujisawa in 2010 at age 11 years and 8 months. She is also the first Go player to turn pro under Nihon Ki-in's special screening system for "prospective, talented" players who can compete with top players from other countries. Biography Born in 2009 in Tokyo, Japan, Nakamura is the daughter of Shinya Nakamura, a 9-dan professional Go player. She started playing the ancient board game with her father when she was three and has been competing in national tournaments in Japan since she was seven.
