Wolf-Bernhard Carl Borromaeus Paul Robert von In der Maur auf Strelberg und zu Freifeld, also known as Wolf In der Mauer or Wolf Indermaur (March 2, 1924 – March 17, 2005), was an Austrian journalist, television director, news editor, and politician. After a career as an officer in the German military, he became a journalist and also held political office. In der Maur served in the Landtag of Carinthia and was appointed by the Austrian parliament as the Federal Chancellor of the Commission for the Promotion of the Press. As a journalist, he was the editor of ''Wochenpresse'' and a radio director at ''ORF''. In 1985 he was awarded the Decoration of Merit in Gold for the Republic of Austria. Count Joseph Emanuel Maria Dismas Otto Vincenz Barbo von Waxenstein (26 October 1825 – 23 November 1879) was a Slovenian politician and aristocrat. Early life Joseph Emanuel Barbo von Waxenstein was born on 26 October 1825 in Rakovnik pri Šentrupertu to Count Maria Dismas Wenzel Otto Barbo von Waxenstein (1801-1848) and his wife, Countess Adelheid Batthyány von Német-Újvár (1801-1889), a second cousin of later Hungarian Prime Minister Lajos Batthyány. Biography Barbo von Waxenstein served as a State Member of Parliament from 1867 until 1879. He was an advocate for the use of Slovene in Vienna and supported Slovenian cultural institutions. As a member of Parliament he voted in favor of dualism and against the December Constitution. He left the National Assembly in 1870 after a new law on direct elections was adopted. Barbo Family
The House of Barbo (later Barbo zu / von Waxenstein ) is an Carniolan noble family of Italian people, Italian origin, active mostly in the territory of present-day Slovenia and in Istria. History The Barbo family originated in Veneto, later moving to Inner Austria, especially Carniola (present-day Slovenia). They claimed descendence from Roman Emperor Claudius. In 1547 the family settled in Kožljak (Waxenstein, in German language, German) in Habsburg Istria. They were elevated to the rank of barons in 1622, and to the rank of counts in 1674.
