Witness (1995 Film)
''Witness'' is a 1995 Tamil-language thriller film directed by Thakkali Srinivasan. The film stars Nizhalgal Ravi, Gautami, Aamani, Raghuvaran and Suresh, with J. Livingston, Thakkali Srinivasan, Chinni Jayanth and Baby Sowmya playing supporting roles. It was released on 14 July 1995. Plot A serial killer targeting prostitutes goes on a murdering rampage in Chennai. The bodies of three prostitutes were discovered by the police, but there were no signs of sexual assault. The police inspector Vikram ( Nizhalgal Ravi) takes in charge of the case. Dhanasekhar and Ashok are two sub-inspectors who are put onto the case to assist Vikram. A fourth victim, a prostitute, is then found murdered in a hotel room. Luckily, Vikram's girlfriend Uma ( Aamani), a journalist, took a picture of the presumed serial killer along with the fourth victim and show it to Vikram. Thakkali Srinivasan
Thakkali Srinivasan is an Indian film director, musician and producer who has worked on Tamil films, often involving horror or murder mystery plotlines. Career Thakkali Srinivasan began his career off as a producer and made the science fiction film '' Nalaya Manithan'' (1989) directed by Velu Prabhakaran. The success of the film prompted him to produce a sequel titled '' Adhisaya Manithan'' (1990) with a different cast, and the project did not perform as well commercially. He had also composed music for the films, along with Premi, forming the Premi–Srini duo largely supported by another music director Manachanallur Giridharan. Subsequently, he directed two films in the 1990s, the horror film '' Jenma Natchathram'' (1991) with Nassar and the murder mystery film, ''Witness'' (1995) with Raghuvaran in the lead role. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as ''Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Mano (singer)
Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu.
