	With This Ring (1925 Film) ''With This Ring'' is a 1925 American silent film, silent drama film directed by Fred Windemere and starring Alyce Mills, Forrest Stanley, and Lou Tellegen.Connelly p. 435 In America it was distributed by the independent film, independent outfit Preferred Pictures while its British release was originally to be handled by Vitagraph Studios, Vitagraph, before that company was acquired by Warner Bros. who distributed it on the British market in 1926. Synopsis While marooned on a desert island, Cecilie Vaughn and Donald Van Buren Common-law marriage, live as man and wife and she falls pregnant. Donald is attacked and believed dead and Cecilie is rescued. She visits his wealthy family, but they refuse to recognize her or her son and Donald's brother Rufus offers to make her his mistress (lover), mistress. Written and directed by Nzingha Stewart, it stars Regina Hall, Jill Scott and Eve. Stewart adapted the script from the 2006 novel ''The Vow'' by Denene Millner, Angela Burt-Murray and Mitzi Miller. 	With This Ring (TV Series) ''With This Ring'' (originally known as ''Happily Ever After'') was a prime time panel show aired by the DuMont Television Network on Sundays from January 21, 1951, to March 11, 1951. The show featured engaged white, opposite-sex couples discussing marriage and marital problems. The show was initially hosted by Bill Slater, but the show quickly changed hosts to Martin Gabel, then left the air. Beatrice Straight appeared on at least one episode. This show is not related in any way to a 15-minute syndicated program of the same name that aired weekly (usually on Sundays) on local stations throughout the U.S. for about 25 years beginning in the early 1970s. The latter program was a Roman Catholic-produced show concerning the church's doctrinal and moral positions on marriage and family life, and was produced at WJBK-TV in Detroit.
