Wisconsin's 54th Assembly District
The 54th Assembly District of the Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district covers most of the city of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in eastern Winnebago County, Wisconsin, Winnebago County. It also contains landmarks such as the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh campus, the Oshkosh campus of the Fox Valley Technical College, and the Oshkosh Corporation headquarters. The district is represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Lori Palmeri, since January 2023. The 54th Assembly District is located within Wisconsin Senate, District 18, Wisconsin's 18th Senate district, along with the Wisconsin Assembly, District 52, 52nd and Wisconsin Assembly, District 53, 53rd Assembly districts. The 53rd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the southern half of Winnebago County and parts of central Fond du Lac County, and includes city of Waupun, which extends into Dodge County. The district also contains the city of Omro and part of the city of Oshkosh, as well as the villages of North Fond du Lac, Rosendale, and Winneconne. The seat has been held by Republican Michael Schraa since January 2013. Gregg Underheim
Gregg A. Underheim (born August 22, 1950) is a retired American small business owner and Republican politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly for nearly 20 years (1987–2007), representing Oshkosh. He was chair of the Assembly Health Committee for 12 of his 20 years in the State Assembly. Carol Roessler
Carol A. Roessler (born January 16, 1948) is an American politician and public administrator. She served as a Republican in the Wisconsin State Senate (1987–2008) and State Assembly (1983–1987). She left the State Senate in 2008 to join the administration of Democratic Governor Jim Doyle as Administrator of State and Local Finance in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Until 1997, she was known as Carol A. Buettner. Shawano County (pronounced SHAW-no) (originally Shawanaw County) is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 40,881. Its county seat is Shawano. Shawano County is included in the Shawano, WI Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Green Bay-Shawano, WI Combined Statistical Area. History Its name is from a modified Ojibwa term meaning "southern"; it was the southern boundary of the Ojibwa nation. A Menominee chief named ''Sawanoh'' led a band that lived in the area. Many citizens of Shawano believe the lake, county, and city (Town of Shawanaw founded 1853 and changed to Shawano in 1856), were named after Chief Sawanoh. Outagamie County is a county in the northeast region of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 190,705. Its county seat is Appleton. Outagamie County is included in the Appleton, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Appleton-Neenah- Oshkosh, WI Combined Statistical Area. It was named for the historic Meskwaki (Fox) Indians. Oconto County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 38,965. Its county seat is Oconto. The county was established in 1851. Cathy Susan "Cate" Zeuske (born December 4, 1958), is an American Republican politician who served as the 31st State Treasurer of Wisconsin and 9th Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. She was also elected to four terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly and was Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Administration.
