Wisconsin's 47th Assembly District
The 47th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in south-central Wisconsin, the district comprises municipalities in south-central Dane County, including the city of Monona, the village of McFarland, and the northern half of the city of Fitchburg. It also contains the Capital Springs State Recreation Area, the Pflaum-McWilliams Mound Group, and the Alliant Energy Center. The seat is represented by Democrat Jimmy P. Anderson since January 2017. The 47th Assembly district is located within Wisconsin's 16th Senate district, along with the 46th and 48th Assembly districts. Oregon is a village in Dane County, Wisconsin, Dane County, Wisconsin. As of the census of 2020, the population was 11,179. The village is located mostly within the Oregon (town), Wisconsin, Town of Oregon. History Oregon was settled in 1841 by Bartlet Runey, and the first house was constructed in 1843. Milton is a town in Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,100 at the 2020 census. The City of Milton is within the town, although it is politically independent. The unincorporated communities of Charlie Bluff, Coopers Shores, Mallwood, and Maple Beach are located in the town. The unincorporated communities of Koshkonong and Newville are also partially in the town. History The town of Milton was named for John Milton, an English poet. Blooming Grove, Wisconsin
Blooming Grove is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,768 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Hope is located partially within Blooming Grove. Although once much larger, currently the town of Blooming Grove consists of a few scattered neighborhoods and individual properties broken into discontinuous sections by the cities of Madison and Monona. Blooming Grove will be dissolved and annexed into the city of Madison by 2027. Madison was a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 6,236 at the 2020 census. The town, although once larger, was broken up into discontinuous fragments by the much larger city of Madison, and was dissolved by merging parts of the town with the cities of Madison and Fitchburg on October 30, 2022. The majority of the town's territory was situated along Highway 12/18, comprising several neighborhoods situated between the south side of the city of Madison, and the north side of the city of Fitchburg. The town also had territory on the north side of Madison near the border with Maple Bluff, as well as a few lots on the west side of Madison near Whitney Way.
