Wisconsin's 13th State Senate District
The 13th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in south central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Dodge County, Wisconsin, Dodge County, the northern half of Jefferson County, Wisconsin, Jefferson County, and parts of eastern and northeastern Dane County, Wisconsin, Dane County. It includes the cities of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Beaver Dam, Columbus, Wisconsin, Columbus, Horicon, Wisconsin, Horicon, Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Lake Mills, Mayville, Wisconsin, Mayville, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Oconomowoc, and Watertown, Wisconsin, Watertown. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives. From 1848 to 1853 there were 66 assembly districts; from 1854 to 1856, 82 districts; from 1857 to 1861, 97 districts; and from 1862 to 1972, 100 districts. Wisconsin's 5th Congressional District
Wisconsin's 5th congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in Wisconsin, covering most of Milwaukee's northern and western suburbs. It presently covers all of Washington and Jefferson counties, most of Waukesha County, and portions of Dodge, Milwaukee and Walworth counties. It is currently represented by Republican Scott Fitzgerald. This was historically the most Republican district in Wisconsin, but as suburban areas have moved left, while rural and areas of industrial workers have moved right, the 7th and 8th have surpassed the 5th. However, this district remains solidly Republican for the time being. George W. Bush carried the district in 2004 with 63% of the vote. Glenn Grothman
Glenn S. Grothman (; born July 3, 1955) is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. representative from Wisconsin's 6th congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected to his seat in 2014. Grothman represented the 58th district in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1993 until 2005 and was vice chair of the Assembly's Republican caucus from 1999 to 2004. He represented the 20th district in the Wisconsin Senate from 2005 to 2015, and was the assistant majority leader from 2011 to 2015. Mark Pocan
Mark William Pocan ( ; born August 14, 1964) is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. representative from Wisconsin's 2nd congressional district since 2013. The district is based in the state capital, Madison. A member of the Democratic Party, Pocan is co-chair of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus and chair emeritus of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Wisconsin's 2nd congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in southern Wisconsin, covering Dane County, Iowa County, Lafayette County, Sauk County and Green County, as well as portions of Richland County and Rock County. The district includes Madison, the state's capital, its suburbs and some of the surrounding areas. The 39th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in central Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Green Lake and Marquette counties, along with much of western Fond du Lac County and parts of northeast Columbia County, southeast Winnebago County, and eastern Adams County. Barbara Dittrich (born May 21, 1964) is an American politician. She was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Republican in 2018, defeating Democratic candidate Melissa Winker 57.6 percent to 42.4 percent. She represents District 38.
