Willow, Lee County, Kentucky
Willow Shoals is an unincorporated community in Lee County, Kentucky, United States. Located about 2 miles above Lock and Dam #13 on the North Bank of the Kentucky River, at the mouth of Big Willow Shoals Branch, a Post Office was established at Willow Shoals on 20 September 1905 with John W. Stephenson as Postmaster. On 25 November 1905, the post office name was changed to Willow. The post office was discontinued in 1956, with mail then routed to Heidelberg, Kentucky. Willow Shoals (or Willow) appeared as a passenger stop on the Louisville and Atlantic Railroad, and later the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, until at least the 1930s. The tracks passing through Willow Shoals are currently owned by CSX Transportation, and are part of their now-idle Eastern Kentucky Subdivision. Willow Street, Pennsylvania
Willow Street is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 7,578 at the 2010 census. In the early part of the 20th century the main thoroughfare in town was lined with willow trees on both sides for the length of the town, hence the community's name. As time marched on and the town grew, the road was widened and sidewalks were installed which required the trees be removed. Only a few of the original trees remain to this day. It is the location of the Hans Herr House, the oldest homestead in Lancaster County, and also the Martin Meylin Gunshop, where the long rifle was first made. Willow is an unincorporated community in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is located within Huron Charter Township. As an unincorporated community, Willow has no legally defined boundaries or population statistics of its own. Geography The community sits at an elevation of above sea level. Willow Meadows is a subdivision in Houston, Texas, United States. Willow Meadows straddles the southwest corner of 610 Loop, but lies fully inside Beltway 8. The subdivision is next to Meyer Park, a shopping center. Willow Meadows is east of Meyerland, north of Willowbend, west of Westwood, and south of the city of Bellaire. The neighborhood consists of a handful of tree-lined streets. The homes are generally 50- to 60-year-old ranch style houses. Because of its relatively short commute time to the Texas Medical Center, Downtown Houston, and Uptown Houston, the neighborhood is home to mostly upper-middle class professionals and educators.
