Williston High School (North Dakota)
Williston High School is a public high school located in Williston, North Dakota. It currently serves about 1,000 students and is a part of the Williston Basin School District 7. The official school colors are orange and black and the athletic teams are known as the Coyotes. The historic school building of Williston High School at 612 1st Ave. W. was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2011. (with reference number #11000413) It was in the Williston Public School District 1 until it merged with Williams County School District 8 into the Williston Basin School District 7 in 2021. Prior to 2021, District 8, which was K-8 only, sent high school students to Williston High. Campus By July 2019 the school had a machine that makes espressos. Williston Northampton School
Williston Northampton School (simply referred to as Williston) is a private, co-educational, day and boarding college-preparatory school in Easthampton, Massachusetts, United States. It was established in 1841. History Williston Seminary was founded by Samuel Williston (1795–1874), a wealthy button manufacturer, in February 1841; the school opened that December, with a dedication address by Mark Hopkins, president of nearby Williams College. The idea of opening a new academy in the neighborhood had been in the air ever since the closing in 1834 of the Round Hill School in nearby Northampton. In its early days, there was no arrangement of studies by terms and the students were not classified. Luther Wright, its principal from 1841 to 1849, believed it was desirable to have his pupils study together in a single room under his direction. The town lies in the center of the Charleston-Hamburg railroad line, the line of the Best Friend locomotive. The train tracks were removed in the 1990s, but the track site has been designated as historically significant by the South Carolina Department of Archives. This section of the train route is now part of the South Carolina Heritage Corridor. History The Ashley-Willis House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Williston Industrial School
Williston School is a school in Wilmington, North Carolina. It was first founded in 1866 by the abolitionist American Missionary Association after the Union army occupied the city during the civil war. It was intended for freed slaves and initially had 450 pupils divided into five departments: primary, intermediate, advanced, normal and industrial. As it developed, it became known by a variety of names including Williston Graded School, Williston Primary and Industrial School and Williston High School. The original site was on Seventh Street but in 1915, the institution moved to a new campus on Tenth Street and new buildings were constructed in 1933, 1937 and 1954. The institution was closed as a high school in 1968 as part of desegregation and this caused disturbances resulting in the Wilmington Ten.
