Williams Street Records
Williams Street Records LLC is an American independent record company founded by Jason DeMarco, based in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a joint venture of Cartoon Network's Williams Street Productions and Warner Music Group (Warner Bros. Discovery's former record company), and is distributed through Alternative Distribution Alliance. Under that label, they have released original works of music, some of which are related to their shows on Adult Swim. The label is managed by Chris Hartley, and the A&R is Jason DeMarco. In February 2007 (the same year the record label was founded), Cartoon Network teamed up with the independent hip-hop label Definitive Jux to produce an animated video for El-P's track "Flyentology" and release a compilation album titled ''Definitive Swim'' for free download, featuring tracks from most of the label's artists. Williams Street Productions, LLC, Trade name, d/b/a Williams Street and formerly known as Ghost Planet Industries, is an American animation and live action television production studio owned by the Warner Bros. Television Studios division of Warner Bros., a unit of Warner Bros. Discovery. The studio is the in-house production arm of Adult Swim (the programming block on Cartoon Network). Mike Lazzo and Keith Crofford oversaw operations for the building for most of its existence. In December 2019, co-founder Lazzo retired from the company, with business partner and co-founder Crofford retiring the following year. Michael Ouweleen was named president in 2020. ''The Dethalbum'' is the debut album by virtual band Dethklok, from American animated sitcom ''Metalocalypse''. It was released on September 25, 2007. The album features full length songs from the TV series, as well as previously unreleased tracks. Antonio Canobbio contributed the artwork for the record. The Special edition, deluxe edition of the album includes an additional disc that features seven bonus tracks, the music video, video for "Bloodrocuted" and the first ''Metalocalypse'' episode of the second season. A vinyl LP was released with a bonus track in July 2008. A tour band, using session metal musicians and headed by Brendon Small, was created to promote the album. Small also provided music videos that are remade specifically for concert performances, which were later released on a DVD included with the special edition of ''Dethalbum II''. ''Dethalbum III'' is the third full-length album by virtual death metal band Dethklok, from the Adult Swim animated series ''Metalocalypse''. The CD and deluxe CD/DVD were released on October 16, 2012. It contains music from the second, third and fourth seasons of the show. Like ''The Dethalbum'' and ''Dethalbum II'' before it, the music is performed by the show's creator Brendon Small and drummer Gene Hoglan. Additionally, the band's live bassist, Bryan Beller, performs on the album. Release The single "I Ejaculate Fire" was released on September 4, 2012. Michael Santiago Render (born April 20, 1975), better known by his stage name Killer Mike, is an American rapper, actor, and activist. Cerebral Ballzy is an American punk rock band from Brooklyn, New York, United States. The band was formed in 2008 and released their debut, self-titled, album on 26 July 2011. The album was released in full as an online preview on the ''Revolver'' magazine website. Cerebral Ballzy are known for their love of 1980s punk, along with a keen interest in drinking, girls, pizza and skateboarding. ''Cerebral Ballzy'' is the debut album from Brooklyn band Cerebral Ballzy. It was released on July 26, 2011 in the United States through Williams Street Records. Their album was heavily promoted on Adult Swim through a 60-second commercial spot, which is their music video for "Don't Tell Me What to Do". Directed by the film-making duo The Marshall Darlings, the promo is filmed on distorted black and white videotape and starts with a close up of lead singer Honor Titus, as he and his band mates walk outside a nightclub and on the streets yelling out the lyrics of the song shown on the bottom of the screen. ''Dethalbum II'' is the second full length album by virtual band Dethklok, from the animated series ''Metalocalypse''. The CD and deluxe CD/DVD were released on September 29, 2009. The album was later released on LP to the United States and Canada. Background The album was recorded at Bombshelter Studios and "The Danger Zone" in Los Angeles. The deluxe edition includes a bonus DVD with 52 minutes of never-before-released music videos featured in the 2008 Dethklok tour. Two bonus tracks were originally promised for the deluxe edition of the album; however, Brendon Small had never recorded or planned to include bonus tracks. The announcement was a marketing error.
