William Yomby
Richard Lowe Yomby William (born June 18, 1981 in Bafoussam) is a retired Cameroonian footballer who spent the majority of his career with the Richmond Kickers. He is currently an assistant coach at Old Dominion University for their men's soccer program. Career Youth and College William attended high school at Lycee Classique Bafoussam in Cameroon, played club soccer for FootStar, and attended the University of Oschang, before moving to the United States in 2005 to attend and play college soccer at Old Dominion University. In his career at Old Dominion, William scored one goal and one assist, with 10 total shots. During his college years, William also played in the USL Premier Development League with the Hampton Roads Piranhas. Professional William was drafted with the 23rd overall pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft by Kansas City Wizards and signed a developmental contract before transferring to Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division later that year. Bafoussam
Bafoussam is the capital and largest city of the West Region of Cameroon, in the Bamboutos Mountains. It is the 3rd most important (financially) city in Cameroon, after Yaoundé and Douala. The 2009 season is the 23rd season played by the United Soccer Leagues. Season titles will be contested by 20 professional men's clubs in the USL First Division and USL Second Division, as well as 37 professional and amateur women's clubs in the W-League and 68 professional and amateur men's teams in the USL Premier Development League. The First Division season kicked off on April 11 with the US Open Cup finalist Charleston Battery and host defending champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC playing to a scoreless tie, while the Carolina RailHawks defeated the visiting Minnesota Thunder 2–1. The season ended on September 20 with the Charleston Battery defeating hosts Minnesota Thunder 3–2. As a change for this season, the Finals will follow the rest of the playoffs in being two legs.
