Bill Schroeder (halfback)
William Henry Schroeder (April 11, 1923 – December 9, 2003) was an American professional two-sport athlete, playing both American football, football and basketball during the 1940s. A two-sport standout for the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Schroeder then played two seasons in the All-America Football Conference for the Chicago Rockets (1946, 1947) after serving in World War II. He played in 26 career games. On the hardwood, Schroeder competed in the National Basketball League (United States), National Basketball League for the Sheboygan Red Skins during the 1946–47 season and averaged 1.7 points per game. After his professional sports careers ended, Schroeder worked as an insurance salesman. Bill Schroeder (wide Receiver)
William Fredrich Schroeder (born January 9, 1971) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He attended Sheboygan South High School and then went on to the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where he starred in track and field. Schroeder joined the UW-La Crosse football team in only his fifth year of college after exhausting his eligibility to compete in track. Despite playing only one year, Schroeder's athleticism (4.26 second 40 yard dash and 44 inch vertical leap) drew the attention of NFL scouts. Schroeder was drafted in the sixth round (181st overall) of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He would wear jersey number 84. Schroeder spent the 1994 season on the practice squad, but was activated in the playoffs, though he did not have any receptions. The Helms Athletic Foundation, founded in 1936, was a Los Angeles-based organization dedicated to the promotion of athletics and sportsmanship. Paul H. Helms was the organization's founder and benefactor, funding the foundation via his ownership of Helms Bakery. Bill Schroeder founded the organization with Helms and served as its managing director. The men were united in a love of amateur athletic competition. The organization became well known for presenting awards and trophies for local, national, and international competition, naming the Southern California Player of the Month and Year, national championships in college basketball and college football, Rose Bowl Player of the Game, Coach of the Year, and other such awards for athletic achievement. Bill A "Rock" Schroeder (born Alfred A William Schroeder on September 7, 1958) is a former Major League Baseball player and a current television sports broadcaster. He played for the Milwaukee Brewers and California Angels between 1983 and 1990. Since 1995, Schroeder has been the primary color commentator on Brewers telecasts. He is currently paired with Brian Anderson or Jeff Levering when Anderson is doing national assignments for Turner Sports. The Kentucky Senate is the upper house of the Kentucky General Assembly. The Kentucky Senate is composed of 38 members elected from single-member districts throughout the Commonwealth.
