William Moore (Wisconsin Politician)
William H. Moore (1886-1961) was a politician, businessman, and livestock dealer. Biography Moore was born on November 13, 1886, in Gardner, Wisconsin. He graduated from Dollar Bay High School in Dollar Bay, Michigan in 1905. Moore was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly as an Independent in 1932. He later became a Republican. Additionally, Moore was chairman and assessor of Nasewaupee, Wisconsin, was a member of the Nesewaupee School Board, and a member of the Door County, Wisconsin Door County is the easternmost county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Gardner is a town in Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,197 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Little Sturgeon is located in the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 113.5 square miles (294.0 km2), of which, 34.3 square miles (88.8 km2) of it is land and 79.2 square miles (205.2 km2) of it (69.80%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 1,197 people, 493 households, and 352 families residing in the town. The population density was 34.9 people per square mile (13.5/km2).
